Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 12, 2026 · Last updated: May 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Jobbi ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Jobbi website located at jobbi.org (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Jobbi is designed to collect as little information as possible. We do not require user accounts, registrations, email addresses, or any form of sign-up. We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII).
When you visit Jobbi, standard web server logs may be generated by our hosting provider (Cloudflare). These logs may include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and timestamps
- Referring URL
These logs are maintained by Cloudflare as part of its infrastructure services and are not accessed or used by Jobbi for any purpose. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
2. Resume Data & Processing
When you upload a resume to Jobbi, the file is processed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Specifically:
- Your resume file is never uploaded to any server.
- No resume content is transmitted over the network.
- No resume data is stored, cached, or logged by Jobbi.
- All parsing, keyword extraction, and job matching occurs locally in your browser.
- When you close or refresh the page, all resume data is permanently discarded.
Jobbi has no ability to access, retrieve, or reconstruct any resume data after your session ends.
3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Jobbi shows a consent banner on your first visit and will not set non-essential cookies until you choose. You can revisit your choice at any time by clearing the jobbi_consent_v1 entry in your browser's site storage; the banner will reappear.
The following cookies may be set on the Service:
- Strictly necessary — Cloudflare may set short-lived cookies (such as
__cf_bm) to detect abuse and keep the site online. These are essential for the Service to function and are set regardless of your consent choice. - Analytics (consent required) — If you accept cookies, Google Analytics sets
_gaand_ga_*cookies to measure aggregate site usage. If you reject, Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode v2 "denied" state, which means it sends only cookieless pings and does not store identifiers in your browser. - Advertising (consent required) — If you accept cookies and AdSense is active on the page, Google may set advertising cookies such as
__gads,__gpi, andIDE. If you reject, the AdSense script is never loaded by Jobbi. - First-party analytics — Jobbi loads a lightweight first-party analytics script (
s.js) for aggregate page-view counting. It does not capture IP addresses, device fingerprints, or cross-site identifiers.
Jobbi does not use pixel trackers, fingerprinting, session replay, or behavioral profiling beyond what is described above.
4. Third-Party Services
Jobbi uses the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare Pages & R2 — Website hosting, content delivery, and storage for the aggregated job listing index. Cloudflare may process standard web request metadata. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — Aggregated site usage metrics. Configured with Google Consent Mode v2 — runs in denied/cookieless state by default. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense — Advertising. See Section 5 below.
- jobbi.org/s.js — First-party privacy-friendly analytics. Aggregate counts only.
5. Advertising
Jobbi participates in the Google AdSense program to support the free operation of the Service. The following disclosures are made in accordance with Google's program policies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, users can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org.
Jobbi does not share any user-supplied data with advertisers. The AdSense script is only loaded after the visitor accepts cookies via the on-site consent banner; users who reject (or who have not yet chosen) will see no ad-network requests from Jobbi.
6. Data Retention
Jobbi does not store any user data. There are no user accounts, profiles, preferences, or session histories to retain. Resume data exists only in your browser's memory during your active session and is discarded when you leave the page.
Job listing data (sourced from public job boards and company career pages) is stored on Cloudflare R2 and refreshed daily. This data does not contain any user information.
7. Data Security
All connections to Jobbi are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Since we do not collect or store user data, there is no user data at risk of breach. Resume processing is performed entirely client-side, meaning your resume content never traverses the network.
8. Your Rights
Because Jobbi does not collect, store, or process personal data, there is no user data to access, correct, delete, or export. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, please note that Jobbi's architecture is designed to comply with data minimization principles by default — we simply do not hold any personal data.
9. External Links
Jobbi contains links to external websites, including employer career pages and job boards. These third-party websites have their own privacy policies and data practices. Jobbi is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any website you visit through links on Jobbi.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since we do not collect contact information, we are unable to notify users of changes directly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
